VALUMICS Workshop 4 and plenary meeting in Dublin

The last month of an exciting first year included a successful plenary meeting and the fourth WP2 workshop 11-13 June. The workshop was hosted by UoI and UCD at the UCD Smurfit School Campus in Dublin, Ireland.

The Plenary meeting was completed on the first day with a round table update from each work package. Policy input being presented by the VALUMICS DG Agri  Research Programme Officer Natalia Brzezina joint by DG Agri Economist Marcelo Lima

The next two days were dedicated to WP2 Workshop four. The consortium agreed that one of the main aims of the modelling work will be to address issues related to fairness in the functioning of European food chains. Moreover, they also agreed to pay equal attention to farmers and the other actors of the chains and to include to the “voiceless” consumer perspective.

The group also enjoyed some true Irish Music and River Dance in the beautiful hills above Dublin city.
